Last 18th of March IDAEA-CSIC, Urban Air Purifier and UPC represents visited the TMCOMAS facilities as first contact to see the covering areas of thermal spray where the suspended nanoparticles measures for the LIFE NANOHEALTH project will take place.
The visit is included in the B1 activity. This project has as objectives to measure the nanoparticles concentration in industrial environments, to create nanoparticles dispersion models in industrial facilities and to lay the foundation for more specific air purifiers for these suspended nanoparticles.
About the LIFE NANOHEALTH Project
The LIFE NANOHEALTH European Project funded by the LIFE Program Environment and Resource Efficiency of the European Commission (ref: LIFE20 ENV/ES/000187). Its objective is to improve the labor health of those working people in industrial environments being exposed to nanoparticles.
This project coordinated by ITC-AICE involves participation of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, UNIMAT Prevención, Urban Air Purifier, Cerámica Saloni and Talleres Mecánicos Comas. It has also received the advice of Zabala Innovation, a leading international consulting in innovation management dedicated to the comprehensive management of ID subsides and projects.
In addition, it also involves advice of public administrations and institutions such as Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (INSST), Institut Valencià de Seguretat I Salut en el Treball (INVASSAT) as well as the European level cluster Nanosafety.
The LIFE NANOHEALTH project with a budget of 1,533,563€ and 55% cofinanced by the European Commission would be concluded in 2024.
